Andre Poulin

Andre Poulin has for the last 26 years worked on NBC's Today Show

His career in television started innocently enough. He gained a position working as an NBC Page seating studio audiences for such progams as Saturday Night Live. Hollywood followed but not for long. There he was film producer Scott Rudin's secretary. Homesick for New York City, he soon returned without a job but several months later landed temporary work on the Today Program. What started as a two week assignment typing scripts, morphed into a dream career. He answered phones at the front desk and sorted mail for a while. Production associate work came next, then talent booker, associate producer and finally, segment producer.

He worked with the best in the business - Bryant Gumbel, Jane Pauley, Matt Lauer, Katie Couric, Meredith Vieira and executive producer, Jeff Zucker. Producing profiles on the likes of Barbra Streisand and Madonna, he also traveled the globe from Shanghai to Sydney even spending an entire week living and working on the Orient Express as Today broadcast from five European cities. Where in the World is Matt Lauer you ask? Andre found out when he helped produce shows from three of his top secret destinations - Bilbao, Spain where the Guggenheim Museum had just opened and from Moscow, producing Matt's rare tour of the Great Kremlin Palace and finally, Amsterdam where he arranged a live broadcast from the The Anne Frank House. After 26 years, Andre said farewell to Today and now looks toward tomorrow and new challenges. Stay tuned.
